On September 30th, 2009, the Ontario Power Authority (OPA) selected the TransCanada proposal to build a 900mw natural gas power generating facility on the Ford of Canada property in Oakville. MPP Flynn is opposed to the decision and is working with Mayor Burton, Oakville Council and the community to prevent the power plant from being built in Oakville.
